Sometimes, I Wet My Plants

Summer is in full swing now! Just yesterday, my car sat in 104 degree heat from the parking lot. It was a bit stifling to say the least. At least I have an indoor activity to keep my mind busy when it’s just too hot to be outside.

This week, I am sharing one of our newest 2021 Annual Catalog suites, Bloom Where You’re Planted. Item #155699/$65 USD. This suite features some creative Designer Series Paper (DSP) which has even created to allow for some use cutting as well as use with our coordinating dies in addition to the options for backgrounds and accents. The suite in its entirety includes the 12X12 DSP, Plentiful Plants stamps, Perfect Plants dies and a wonderful lattice embellishment. These items can of course all be purchased separately if you’ like.

Welcome Friends

This card uses a couple of techniques to create the special background. I’ve used the Brick and Mortar embossing folder inked with crumb cake to create this rustic brick wall backdrop. The card stock is also crumb cake. The pots and plants are from the DSP and cut with the coordinating dies.

Thank You

This card uses crumb cake card stock with a DSP background layer and the lattice embellishment. The plants and macrame hanger are all cut with the dies. you can create a wonderful 3-D effect by adding layers of the plants behind and in front of the plant hanger parts. Aren’t the shallow potting bowls just perfect?! Cajun Craze is a great terra cotta pot color!

Sweet and Simple

Basic White with a touch of natural tones makes this simple stamping card a breeze to recreate! Do dies needed, just ink, paper and some natural baker’s twine. Evening Evergreen and Cajun Craze are simple enough to create the plant and pot and even the sentiment. I’ve topped it off with a few rhinestone basic jewels.

Simply Love

A little bit of Cinnamon Cider card sock and ink balances out the Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen colors used in the DSP. A layer of Soft Succulent CS and an Everyday Label punch pulls this together with a snip of Evening Evergreen ribbon.

Scrappy Thanks!

Cinnamon Cider CS layered with the brick DSP layer and a cut down lattice embellishment. sometimes, our DSP is so amazing we can’t think of wasting a tiny bit! Maybe you got a paper share and the images were cut in half. Either way, this card shows how to use those cut off images to create a stunning focal point. Both of the potted plants are fussy cut from partial images on the DSP. By layering and putting the cut edge on the side of the card, you can make our card elements look purposefully placed and beautiful.

Stepped Up Texture

This card uses a variety of embossing for layers of texture. Using Evening Evergreen card base and painted texture embossing folder further layered with the lattice and a Soft Succulent layer embossed with the Greenery embossing folder and topped with FussyCut DSP potted houseplants. A tiny bit of twine and some clear and silver epoxy embellishments to add a little sprinkle of summer rain and shine to the card.

A little Happily Ever After in these trying times

I was given the honor of creating some wedding cards recently. With all that is going on, love still prevails. check out a couple of the cards I put together then let me know what you think!

Forever Greenery elements turned out pretty stunning with the Night of Navy accent color.
A little textured layer adds some interest and depth to the whole card.
Not your normal boring sentiment. I added that Navy again to really help the wishes for the happy couple stand out.
Beautifully said. Simply designed.
Gold foil and Whisper White card stock pulled together with Ornate Frames allows for the striking heat embossed image to take center stage.

These cards were a dream to make and came together fairly easy. Want the products used here? I can help you place an order. Want to order custom cards? Send me an email and I’ll get it done!
